Thank you Micaela and Donna Jo for the easy directions that you posted for your blocks. I loved working with the bright colors from my scrap pile. I put them in the mail yesterday!
For Micaela: I think our group will recognize most (if not all) of these fabrics from blocks I have made for them over the past three years!
For Donna Jo: What a great idea for a baby quilt! It was fun to experiment with different ways to arrange the flying geese.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Flying Geese block from Claire
Here is my block for December. I managed to complete it before the children broke up for the holidays last Friday so feeling happy about that - just need to get it posted. I loved the simplicity of this block - the instructions were really clear. I hope the block looks good with the rest Donna Jo. (I have a new computer and couldn't quite manage to get rid of all the floor on my photo!) Merry Christmas! Claire

Anthea's Flying Geese for Donna Jo
I know orange is not a primary colour, but I went with your use of "primary-ish" to describe your preference Donna Jo. I like the contrast between the blue and orange but I hope the navy background is not too dark for you.
Despite the simplicity of flying geese I still found things warped a little despite my careful sewing and pressing, pressing, pressing. Perhaps I should have got out that spray on starch!
Have a lovely Christmas everyone and I wish you all the best for a safe and joyful 2015.
Anthea xx
