It is done! My Modern Cross Quilt turned out so beautifully- I love it! Thank you so much for all of your input. As you can see, I made 25 more squares and arranged them randomly. My girls love picking out the squares that match clothing or accessories they have, and I feel like there are so many stories in this quilt. And it is super warm- perfect for the snowy winter that has descended upon Canada.
It turned out beautifully!! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy, What a pretty room! Your new quilt is perfect in there. Is this your guest room? If so, when can I come visit? :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work!

It's a lovely quilt Amy. Well done! I'm impressed with how you manage to complete your quilting projects. I still have too many unfinished projects on the go. You are an inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! IT is actually our master bedroom. But, we DO have a guest room and YES we would love for you to visit! And Chris, I neglect many a thing so that I have my time in my sewing room! Our floors are not so clean (either are our children!) I will take a bit of a break from sewing now that it is done!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt Amy. You must be so pleased with it all. I love that your children can find the history in the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI love your cross quilt, the fabrics you've chosen are great. So good to see a photo of a quilt being used.
ReplyDeleteAmy! This is fantastic!! How did you quilt it? I can hardly wait to see this beauty in person. Very inspiring and congrats!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I just tied it in the middle of each cross. I am a bit worried as I used 100% cotton batting, although I think that was what was recommended. The pattern called for buttons in the middle of each cross, but I thought it would be uncomfortable if we laid on top of it. We'll see!
