Genevieve here. I haven't posted much lately, but that doesn't mean I'm not looking at all of your fabulous quilting! I normally browse the posts on my mobile device, and it's a pain to login. All of your squares look amazing. I have managed to finish my square for Amy (finally. I know I'm a couple days late, but I mailed it this morning). This square was a bit intimidating, but in the end I was quite happy with my result (and I was a bit sad to let it go ;).
I did manage to finish my squares for Shauna super early though! I hope you like them (I'm not going to be able to attend this months meeting, so I thought I'd get them done and send them to you for next week). I hope you like them. I decided to go with a pink circle because I thought it would be a nice contrast to the grey squares. So, here's a couple of pictures of my squares. (They aren't the greatest quality pics).

ReplyDeleteThank you Genevieve. I was shocked to see a finished block already! I like the two tone pink flower fabric, I recognize it from our swap. It looks so much brighter in the photo. It is exciting to see this circle quilt take shape - a mystery how it will all come together. Well done on Amy's block too. I like seeing how all our scraps came together in different ways. I had a hard time letting go of this one too. Thanks again :) Shauna

I have a special request for Amy (USA)...Someday soon will you lay out all the April blocks and show us what they look like together? I can't stop thinking of how beautiful your quilt is going to be! And Shauna, you are in for a fun month as you start seeing your blocks on the blog and receiving them in the mail. In January I was so excited to get home from work everyday and check to see what came in the post! It was like a whole month of Christmas or birthday!

Jennifer- I will lay out the blocks as soon as I have them all. I think I am waiting on five. I did lay out the ones I had this evening just to look at them all together! I am so excited about this quilt!

It is nice to hear from you Genevieve. Your blocks look lovely and you have compensated for making one slightly late by making the other one extremely quickly. I have ordered some grey fabrics which looked lovely online and if they arrive on time I will make the new block this weekend.
