Katie, I need your new address....

Hey Katie, I just received the blocks I sent you back in the mail. Can you send me your new address?
Also, as I mentioned before, we moved. Our address is exactly the same except our house number is 1232 instead of 1247.

Have a great week.

Midwest Modern & Pretty in Pink

A little more Amy Butler for your quilt, Chris... a Midwest Modern print with a touch of buttery soft yellow and turquoise, with a pink swirl blender (I think it's actually from a Valentine's collection).
I may have to make one of these quilts myself... a fun and simple block to make and I can't wait to see how your quilt comes together!

And, Jennifer, my DVD and my blocks & scraps came the other day... thank you SO, SEW, MUCH! My hubby is looking forward to watching the program with me.  I almost forgot--I meant to show you a pic of my blocks that I have received all together:

Amy (Canada)

I agree with the others- I love working in pinks! I surprisingly don't have many pinks that fit the bill, but I hope that this is to your liking, Chris. I love the variations that the squares will have. I think this is going to be soft and lovely! I also love how quickly it sewed up as I just broke my foot (argh!!!) and can't have it down too long these days. Back to the quilt... I am sure this one is going to be gorgeous!

Powerful Pink!

Pink is so pretty! Chris this fabric was used in the quilt that I made for your former student (and mine) Anna  J. when she graduated from ISL two years ago. She chose it as one of the fabrics to have in her quilt. I love it and was glad to have a chance to use it again.

To help create diversity in the other blocks, the +  in my block is 3 1/4" wide.

Looking forward to seeing the other posts from our group.

Just for You...From Me

Dear Quilting Friends,

My mother is here visiting. We have been working on my January International Stashes project and I will post the beautiful results soon. Also related to quilting...this morning after breakfast we decided to watch a DVD that has been laying on a shelf for months but never even opened:
It is a wonderful DVD with so many good thoughts and reflections of why we quilt and what amazing things quilters are capable of creating. Although the word "America" is in the title, this DVD speaks to any quilter around the world.

I liked this DVD so much that I decided I wanted each of you to have a copy. Arriving soon in your mailbox from Amazon will be your own copy! I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did. I would love to hear your thoughts after you have seen it.

If by chance you already have this DVD feel free to pass it on to another quilter...she will hopefully be inspired too. Katy and Stephanie if each of you will please send me your new address, your copy will be quickly in the mail too.

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer and finding some time to quilt!

Love,
Jennifer
