Hi everyone!
I'm hoping my hexagons will find a place in your quilt Genevieve...and that my stitching doesn't stand out too much. I must admit I was sooo grateful to read about Meg's early experiences with paper piecing. I definitely need more time to develop my skills :) I enjoyed exploring flannel and particularly love Nani Iro's 'brushed cotton' (fabric with the random small pink flowers).
Hi Chris! As always, lovely fabric choices. I especially like the bright aqua with what almost looks like a village scene(?) Your stitching looks perfect! I would not want to put yours next to mine on the first few I made at Linsay's! They got better as I went along. I have to comment on the pre-made hexagons that I ordered... I received them after I had finished Genevieve's hexis. The card is so stiff and not as easy to stitch through when basting as regular paper. Having now used both, I prefer just regular paper.

Hi Jennifer,
DeleteYes the aqua is a city & street scape design (good catch!!)by Erin McMorris. It's called "Irving Street Downtown". I plan to make some little people pjs with it one day....:)
Looks awesome! I love the shape you created :). The aqua and green fabrics are great!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get them in the mail.
